Iurie Leanca will run for May 26 euro-parliamentary elections
Iurie Leanca will run for the Euro-parliamentary election on May 26. The vice-prime minister for Integration will run on the list of Pro-Romania president, Victor Ponta.
The announcement was made within a press conference by Victor Ponta.
"I will be the first on the list, but I will not go to Brussels. On this list will also be Mr.Iurie Leanca, the actual vice prime minister for European Integration. Thus, Iurie Leanca will be the fourth on the list. We need a person who has good knowledge, who understand that Romania is a little bit more than the Prut border", declared Victor Ponta.
Iurie Leanca was the Republic of Moldova prime minister between 2013 and 2014.
Leanca leaded the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration between 2009 and 2013.
Between 2007 and 2009, he was the vice-president of a company whose leader was Anatol Stati.
Between 2005 and 2009, he was the vice-president of the Association for Foreign Politics.
Previously, he as minister-council of the Republic of Moldova Embassy in the USA.
In 1986, he graduate the State Institute of International Relationships in Moscow.
In the same year, he was hired at Moldova Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
