The majority of the cases were registered in Criuleni. Before, the district hospital doesn't have a specialist to consult the patients.
"There are cases when minors aged between 15 and 17 years get this virus. The majority of the infected minors are from poor families", said Corina Vasilache, doctor.
The sexual education is very important. Starting 2012, Friendly Centers for Young were opened. There, the minors are consulted by specialists. Yearly, a center from Criuleni is visited by four thousand young who face different problems.
"We are teaching them how to act, from a medical point of view", said Alexandra Culava, doctor.
In order to prevent the diseases, the specialists have a couple of recommendations.
"After every sexual contact, they should go to the doctor for a check up. It is important to convince the partner to treat him. If one gets treated, the other one should also be treated", said Dumitru Rubanovici, doctor.
If syphilis and gonorrhea have specific symptoms, and the diagnosis is easy. Cllamidosis can only be detected by analyzes, and so many do not even know they are infected. In the long run, the disease has serious consequences and can even lead to infertility.
