The average pension for old person is higher by almost 9% compared to the lowest value calculated for 2018, according to data of National Bureau of Statistics.

Accordingly, the average pension was over 1700 lei on January 1 2019, while the lowest value calculated for 2018 was over 1570 lei. 

Therefore, the difference is 8.6% in favor of the average pension.

The result was possible due to the reform of the pension system operated by the Government, but also to regular increases and indexations.

Also, for the first time, the amount of the state average childcare allowance was over 1560 lei on January 1 2019, 1.4% higher than the lowest value.
