Woman from Hancesti saved many lives by transplanting organs
A woman from Hancesti saved many lives being in brain death. The children of the patient decided to donate her organs.
The doctors of Sfanta Treime hospital from the Capital took her kidneys, liver, skin and cornea. The three children of the woman met one of the beneficiary of their mother's organs.
"I am so thankful."
Serghei Rosior is one of the ill who received a second chance to live, after he benefited of a liver transplant. The man 39 tells that he was urged to wait for a couple of years until the doctors found an organ that would fit with him.
"I am happy that such people exist", said Serghei Rosior.
Marina, Cristina and Eduard said that when they found out their mother suffered a brain death, concluded that they can't save her. Thus, they decided to donate her organs.
"We decided to save other lives. If we couldn't save our mother, we are happy that other people will be saved", said Cristina Pleteniuc, her daughter.
The transplants succeeded due to a doctors team who monitored the process.
"We succeeded to transplant all the organs well", said Cornelia Gutu, doctor of Sfanta Treime hospital.
Starting this year, in Moldova 18 transplants took place.
