Chinese leading firms express investment interest in Moldovan market
Economy Minister Chiril Gaburici met with representatives of the largest Chinese companies in fields of pharmaceutical and biomedical industry, artificial intelligence and linguistic technologies, heavy industry and industrial machinery, tourism.
According to the Minister Gaburici, Republic of Moldova wants to strengthen its economic partnership with People's Republic of China.
"Bilateral relations with China are very vital to us. I'm referring initiative to sign Free Trade Agreement between two countries. It enables access of Moldovan products on Chinese markets and attraction of Chinese investments in important sectors. Investments can be in various areas: Free Economic Zones and the IT sector," the minister said.
In turn, the Chinese side expressed its intention to make visits in Moldova once in two months with various delegation on different domains to discover investment potential offered by Moldova.
Moreover, CEATEC-EUWC Vice President Pan Feng mentioned that he was impressed by Moldovan wine.
"They have competitive price and high quality. We want such products on our market. We want to develop industrial park in IT and agriculture domain in Moldova. I tell my colleagues that this country has a strategic geographical position in term of commercial access to European Union (EU), Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Turkey and Romanian markets. We will encourage more Chinese firms to invest in this country", said Pan Feng, head of the delegation.
The Chinese delegation, composed of representatives of 12 top Chinese companies, will participate in the Moldova-China Business Forum, organized in Chisinau on April 2-4, by the Investment Agency.
