Final Court decision. Sergiu Lucinschi, son of former Republic of Moldova president sentenced tow two years behind bars
Sergiu Lucinschi, Petru Lucinshi's son wan sentenced to two years and four months behind bars for influence peddling and forgery. The decision was taken by the Supreme Court of Cassation.
Sergiu Lucinschi was sentenced to three years behind bars in the first instance. The decision is final.
According to DNA, between December 2014 and March 2015, Sergiu Lucinschi asked Alexandru Horpos to give him four million Euro for withdrawing his complaint from DIICOT.
Also, Lucinschi promised the businessman that he would take the necessary steps to change the legal framing of all the facts into the "fraudulent" offense, for which the investigation ceases when the complaint is withdrawn.
Radu Pricop would have supported Sergiu Lucinschi in criminal activity by drafting the criminal complaint that is the subject of a criminal case and the subsequent formulation between December 2014 and March 2015 of several unlawful solutions for remission the sum of four million Euro to Lucinschi, including the one on the recognition of a fictitious debt, which was accepted by the businessman.
The investigators also say that between January 2015 and March 2015, Remus Tudoran Jurj, as DIICOT prosecutor, having investigated two criminal cases that looked at the same businessman, would have constantly supported Sergiu Lucinschi by conducting criminal investigation times either favorably or unfavorably to the investigated businessman, depending on how the money was handled.
PUBLIKA.MD reminds that former Liberal Democrat deputy Chiril Lucinschi was sentenced to five years and six months imprisonment in a semi-closed penitentiary for money laundering within BEM criminal file.
At the same time, the Court ruled to release Lucinschi from home arrest and place him under judicial control until sentencing by senior hierarchical courts.
