Three parties and three NGOs created UNION bloc today
The February 24 election was like a cold shower for the unionists who concluded that they can only win by gathering efforts. Thus, three parties and NGOs created "Union" bloc. It is about PNL, PLR and Democracy Home party, ODIP Association, Tinerii Moldovei (the Young of Moldova) and the National Unity Bloc. The representatives of the unionist entities also signed a cooperation protocol.
The unionists say that they forget about all their misunderstandings and decided to unite, hoping that they will have more supported for the next elections.
"The society didn't have a clear unionist option, this is why the presence for this election was this low. We invite everybody to support us", said Vitalia Pavlicenco, the president of the National Liberal party.
The members of ACUM invite all the parties and the NGOs who want to launch the Romanian union to support them.
"Out target is to gather all the parties and entities who support the union", said Vlad Biletchi, the president of ODIP-Union Association.
"The lesson within the parliamentary election was a harsh one, but it was necessary to understand that the union make us powerful. We can win only by gathering our efforts", said Vasile Costiuc, the Democracy Home president.
Before the February 24 election, the unionist forces were urged to strengthen their forces within an unionist bloc. An appeal in this sense was made by the liberals. PNL refused PL offer.
PL gained only 1,25% of the votes after the February 24 election.
