Less lines and papers in hospitals. The sick leave certificate could be obtained online. An initiative in this regard was launched by the Ministry of Health, which put the idea into public discussion. Starting July 1st, an electronic system is proposed to implement. 

Project authors assure that the transition period will be short. Following the publication of the legislative amendments in the Official Gazette, all employers, workers, medical institutions and employees of the National Social Security House will have access to the MConnect platform.

The length of sick leave will also be modified. On the old model of the certificate, the period was three days, the new term would range from one to 10 days. However, the total number of days spent on sick leave during one year should not exceed 180.

Physicians hope the initiative will be approved and the number of forms to be filled will be reduced. 

" - Do you think it will be simpler for patients?

 - Of course. We are already in the queue for two hours, but this will be all the more so".
