The Post Office of Moldova puts into operation another 10 Post Terminals
The post office of Moldova expands its terminals network for receiving packages.
Another 10 new post-terminals will be installed on the streets of Sarmisegetusa, Iazului, Vasile Lupu, Vasile Alecsandri, Calea Iesilor, Voluntari, Paris, Gara Square, Cuza-Voda and Dacia bloulevard from the Capital.
Installations have an automated integrated system for receiving and distributing postal items.
They have between 60 and 100 cells, from which packets can be picked up at any time and sent by mail. Payment is made online or directly to the delivery service terminal without standing in line.
Using the Post-Terminal is very simple and convenient. The customer wishing to receive a parcel through this service visits the www.pt.md website and registers as a user.
"I enter the phone number, after a screen appears where the code is entered, the payment procedure is pressed, ok is pressed and a cell is opened automatically", said Elena Ganciucova, chief of Marketing and Sales Directorate.
According to the representatives of the Post Office, Chisinau would need one hundred such Post-Terminals to cover daily requests for requests.
"Your package is placed in the post-terminal when you have registered on our site. Six steps are already registered and when it came, the parcel was sorted, placed in the terminal when the door was closed, you received sms that you have received the package. The 72 hours have passed, the packages are withdrawn from the cells and sent to our sorting center", said Serghei Nastas, general manager of the "Posta Moldovei" State Enterprise.
For each package delivered, the price is 10 lei.
"The benefits to customers are primarily that they no longer depend on the post office, they can be served 24/24", said Veceaslav Dragot, head of the logistics department of the Post Office of Moldova.
Post-terminals are equipped with surveillance cameras on the side and front.
The post office of Moldova implemented this service in 2015, and more than half a million packages have been shipped since then. With the 10 that will be put into operation this week, the country's network will reach 32 terminal stations.
