The number of Moldovans estabilished in Russia got down fot the last years. According to a report by the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, around 7700 Moldovans were estabilished in the Russian Federation for the last year, two thousand less than in 2017 and three times less than in 2013.

Also, the number of Moldovans living temporarily in Russia got down by 40 percent over the last four years. 

The main causes of the decline are the difficulties in hiring, low wages and high taxes. The report also shows that most of people going to Russia come from CIS countries.

Over the past year, more than eight million immigrants have been registered in Russia. Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Krasnodar region are their favorite areas.
