A 64 years old woman from Chiscareni village, Sangerei district, arrived to the hospital in serious condition after the gas bottle installed in an annexe of the house exploded.

The victim was burned in about 70 percent of the body surface. The woman was hospitalized at Sangerei district hospital.

"The patient is in a very serious, stable condition. Now she needs intensive care, anti-shock measures, and the aviasan service", said Pritula Serghei, Head of the Intensive Care Section.

The preliminary version of the rescuers is that the occurred because of a gas leak.

According to representatives of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the explosion occurred when the woman tried to turn on the gas cooker.
