Why snap elections deemed Doomsday scenario for Republic of Moldova?
Democratic Party (PDM) has pronounced to guard against the possibility of snap elections which are deemed to be bad scenario for Republic of Moldova. PDM parliamentary faction president Pavel Filip declared within an interview with Tribuna.
"Snap elections are possible but not desired. PDM won't trigger snap elections. PDM always pronoun to oppose snap elections for this is a bad scenario for Moldova. It's bad for economy, social projects, general stability of country. It does nothing but to put off social measures requested and awaited in society. It, moreover, discourages the business climate and investment and triggers uncertainty in all domains", said president of PDM parliament faction.
PM Filip also said to prepare all variants, even in case that PDM will win the most mandates of deputies.
"We speak really clearly to people: Choose people who contribute to the country, not ones who trigger chaos and uncertainty. Furthermore, if the snap elections take place, it needs to be conducted as the last consultative referendum on February 24, which means we vote for 61 deputies, not 101", said Pavel Filip.
