Bribery at BAC exam. A pupil is criminal investigated for CORRUPTION
"Two criminal cases involving a 38 years old woman from Truseni, Chisinau, were sued and charged with trafficking in human beings. It is about Article nr. 326 (1) of the Criminal Code, according to a press release from the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
In the 2017 spring, the woman claimed and received 300 euros from six different citizens.
In exchange for money, it aimed to influence public figures in educational institutions, including those responsible for organizing and conducting baccalaureate exams. People who gave the woman bribery would be enrolled in the BAC Candidate List in the 2018 session.
This woman is also accused of having influence on the persons working in the subdivisions of the Transport Registration and Qualification Division of the drivers. She claimed and received for herself and other unidentified persons an amount of 1100 euros.
Instead, the woman was going to enroll a person at the Auto School, helping her pass the car exam and get the driving license, and two more people would help them get the driving licenses.
The amount claimed and earned on every case varies between 300 and 400 Euros.
The accused fully acknowledged the blame and accepted to collaborate during the criminal investigation.
The woman risks being punished under Article 326 (1) of the Penal Code, which provides for a fine in the amount of 2000 to 3000 conventional units or imprisonment for up to 5 years.
