Japanese Agency JICA is interested in bilateral cooperation with Republic of Moldova
The implementation of the technical assistance projects financed by the Japanese Government in the Republic of Moldova through the International Agency for International Cooperation (JICA) and the establishment of new bilateral partnerships in various fields were discussed by MFAEI Secretary of State Carolina Perebinos with the representative resident of JICA, resident in Kyiv, Takaaki Kawano.
During the meeting, Carolina Perebinos and Takaaki Kawano reviewed both projects under the implementation and the joint action plan, which set out the development and implementation of new assistance projects during 2019.
The interlocutors agreed to hold Moldovan-Japanese training sessions, which will contribute to increasing the efficiency and quality of the files submitted by the beneficiaries, which will simplify the degree of approval of the financing and implementation of the projects. In context, Takaaki Kawano specified that the Japanese side is interested in deepening and expanding bilateral co-operation in identifying new projects that could be carried out in various areas.
Carolina Perebinos appreciated the continued support provided by JICA to our country, which contributes to deepening and strengthening the good relations of friendship between the Republic of Moldova and Japan.
