Chisinau City Hall has announced to acquisition 600 new benches to place in the capital. This came after complaints of locals about broken damaged rusty benches installed since soviet period. 

By the end of this year, benches will be located where they're missing and replace the old ones. 

Residents in Buiucani sector of Chisinau complained that they didn't have places to rest. 

"These benches are destroyed. It's impossible to sit on", said a local. 

People even paid money for block service but nothing has changed. 

"I pay monthly 81 lei for block service. Nothing done!" said a local. 

City Hall allocated 1.5 million lei for purchasing 600 benches which will be installed in the block courtyard while another 100 benches will be placed in capital's parks. 

"We already signed contracts with three companies. They will set up benches in block courtyard in 45 days", said Vasile Efros, head of Arranging Department. 

Communal Household Directorate also want to change another 600 benches in Capital this year. They already drew up a project to change over 800 benches in capital's parks and square. 

At present, a third of Chisinau furniture are depreciated.
