President Igor Dodon concedes his proposal. Who could become future prime minister?
Moldovan President Igor Dodon admits he could propose a representative of Socialist Party for position of prime minister. However, Dodon declined to reveal the name, noting it's still premature.
"Constitutional Court declared that President reserves the right to propose a candidate for position of prime minister without a governance majority. Unless a ruling majority is created, I will consult all factions and I will make the decision", declared Dodon for the press.
Asked if it's true that Finance Minister Ion Chicu could be proposed for prime minister, President Dodon said that nobody but president could put forward a candidate, writes ipn.md.
Last week the presidential institution submitted a referral to the Constitutional Court to get an interpretation of the head of state's obligation to propose a candidate for prime minister if Parliament has no leadership.
