8 plastic artists from Moldova attend the first edition of the International Sculpture Summer Camp, "Drumul Crucii(Cross Road) hosted by Condrita Monastery.

Until the end of the month, eight stone made sculptures will be exhibited in the monastery's yard.

The first edition of Cross Road international Summer Camp tasked the sculptors to make religious compositions. The eight sculptors arrived at the monastery a couple of days ago. Among them we have met Parascovia Popa Donoi Moldovan who lives in Ireland.

"I called my composition "The souls pastors". Two pastors. I want to add the third pasto and the fourth", said Parascovia Popa Donoi.

Nicolae Ovidiu Popa came from Bucharest. The artist came in Moldova for the first time.

The organizers wants to make a tradition out of this event.

"This is the first edition of this competition at Condrita Monastery. We want to organize such competition every year", said Stanislav Dudnic, organizer.

The administrator of Condrita monastery and the priest says that the sculptures will be a good gift for the monastery.

"This way, I want the Christians to feel the spirit of this monastery through these sculptures", said Veceslav Spac, administrator.

"All these sculptures reveal the religious spirit", said Vladimir Trelea, priest.

The international Sculpture Summer Camp from Condrita will end on May 26.
