The children are the ones who bring the happiness in the families. A family from Horjesti village, Hincesti district who educated 21 children are convinced about that.

Ana and Ion are married for 40 years. The head of the family reminds that many years ago he was repairing an orphanage when a child got attached to him very much. Even if they had five children, his wife accepted to have one more kid.

"The first one came to our house when he was a child. He stayed in our family for seven years", declared Ana Sirbu, resident of Horjesti village, Hancesti district.

The thing that they took a foreign child in their family motivated them to take more children.

"I can not live without noise around my house", said Petru Sirbu, resident of Horjesti village, Hancesti district.

One of the 16 adopted children has his own family, but still comes to his adoptive parents.

"Mihaela is our adoptive daughter who was adopted by a family from Italy."

Now, Sirbu husbands have four adoptive children.

"It will be hard to leave this family. I will continue to talk with them."

The example of their parents inspired one of their daughters to take some adoptive children after she will get married.

The parental assistants receive a salary worth 2000 lei monthly, regardless the number of children whom they adopted.
