Iulia Costin, state secretary at the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure held a meeting with Elizabeth Hafner, the deputy assistant of the USA Commercial Representative for Europe and Middle East. The main topics discussed was the macro economic situation of the Republic of Moldova, the implementation of the Association Agreement and the IT evolution.

"We appreciate the support of the USA offered along these years for the Republic of Moldova. The inter governmental commission of economic cooperation is a good discussion platform. We want to continue this dialogue between our countries", mentioned Iulia Costin.

Also, the parts talked about the development of the bilateral commercial relationship regarding the consolidation of the investments and exports.

As a result, the officials discussed about planning a inter-governmental commission.

The volume of trade with the USA raised by 98 025 million USD in comparison with 2017.
