Moldovan farmers find difficult with the unfavorable weather conditions and face with the increased risk of loss of crop. Thus, Agriculture Minister Nicolae Ciubuc pledged to cover 50% of farmers' expense for crop insurance. The official confirmed this work to improve relations between insurers and farmers. 

"More farmers don't trust the insurance system, but this and state authorities, ministries, Financial Market National Commission are ready to intervene in any abuses by insurance companies", said Minister Ciubuc. 

According to data offered by Intervention and Payment for Agriculture Agency, 19 compensation files worth 1.5 million lei have been submitted since the beginning of this year. Last year, there were 149 files worth 7.5 million lei.
