Sandu government ministers name their relatives in offices
It is no longer a problem if a minister hires his relative, after Andrei Nastase minister of Interior Affairs named Nicu Popescu IGP chief and Andrei Popov godfather named cabinet chief.
Andrei Popov commented on this subject on his Facebook page:
"The main target is to make more efficient the activity of minister Popescu. There are no other ties involved."
PUBLIKA.MD reminds that Andrei Popov was DPM member between 2009 and 2013, then, the was the ambassador of Moldova in Austria and Slovakia. Also, Poov was deputy in the Parliament. He also worked for TV8 tv channels, the one supporting the actual governance.
Nicu Popescu was in several times the counselor of Vlad Filat, the former party leader of Maia Sandu. On January 29, 2010, Nicu Popescu was appointed at the proposal of the Prime Minister of that time, Vlad Filat, Principal State Counselor in charge of European Integration and External Relations. Subsequently, Andrei Popov's wedding bracelet left the PLDM team on 28 November 2012 to return to Filat's team as the senior advisor for European public policy and affairs.
