Group of States Against Corruption criticize ACUM-PSRM's actions about Prosecution

The Group of States Against Corruption (GRECO) - a specialized committee of the Council of Europe in prevention and fighting against corruption, took note about the recent initiative of the RM's Parliament to complete and modify the Law No.3/2016 regarding the Prosecution, which aims especially the Superior Council of the Prosecutors component.
On a different note, GRECO also exposed some of their concerns about the transparency and the dynamic of the adopting procedure by the Parliament of the initiative in the first lecture.In this context, on July 5, 2019, GRECO addressed a letter to the RM authorities, with the call to take some urgent actions in order to rapidly and fully complete GRECO's recommendations, given within the IVth evaluation round of RM, insisting upon law-making the exclusion from the Superior Council of the Prosecutors of the Justice Minister and the president of the Superior Council of Magistracy.
In equal measure, GRECO requested RM's authorities to have as a priority the authorization to publish the GRECO report within the IVth evaluation round, adopted on December 7, 2018.
