The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a travel warning for people who intend to visit Portugal, due to the heat and the high risk of the outbreak of vegetation fires, between 17 and 20 August.

Under these conditions, citizens in danger can go to the diplomatic missions in Portugal.

Moreover, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalls that Romanian citizens traveling abroad have the "Travel safely" application which provides useful information and tips.

Due to vegetation fires, hundreds of tourists, vacationing in Greece, have been stranded on several islands.
