Two thousand citizens of Chisinau who are older than 70 and have small pensions, will benefit from one-off material assistance worth 500 lei. The support is provided in the context of the International Day for Older Persons. 

According to the Chisinau city hall, the money was provided to improve the material situation of the elderly people from the city. The people who did not benefit from material aid in 2019 will particularly receive the money. 

The lists of beneficiaries were compiled by the social assistance departments from the Moldovan capital’s districts.

The beneficiaries of material assistance can take the money at the post offices starting from 1 October till 25 December 2019.
