The guaranteed minimum monthly income for poor families with children has been increased by 25 percent. This means an increase of 277 lei in social assistance and 609 lei in the allowance for the cold period of the year. The decision was approved by the government on Wednesday.

At the same time, the guaranteed minimum monthly income will be indexed twice a year. Once on April 1 and then in October.

In spring, the indexation coefficient will be the inflation rate recorded in the last half of the previous year, and in autumn it will be based on the inflation rate recorded in the first half of the current year.
