27 streets from Cantemir town lightened. 250.000 Euro have been invested
27 streets from Cantemir have been repaired. The project required an investment worth 250.000 Euro. The project was funded by the European Union, the Fund for Energetic Efficiency and the local authorities.
"It was dark on all these streets, now we have light."
"It was very hard, we were like in a tunnel."
The founders of the project say that Cantemir is the first town in the country that has an online lightening system.
"Until now, such projects have not been, and this lighting system also contains software that gives control and monitoring capabilities. That is, at any time, you're in the office or not, using a cell phone or any other gadget you can see where you're having trouble, where you're going and what would be the problem", declared Eugen Cozmulici, the representative of the Fund for Energetic Efficiency.
Over 5 thousand people live in the lightened regions.
"Of the total surface of the city, we lightened everything", said Roman Ciubaciuc, the mayor of the village.
