A 3-year-old boy from Truşeni village, Chişinău, passed away after he was hit by a car while crossing the street. Eyewitnesses claim that the child was together with his grandmother, who was speaking with other people.

The woman took her eyes off the child for a single moment, enough time for him to go into the street and get hit by a car. The driver and grandmother took him immediately to the hospital in hopes to save his life, but he was already deceased upon arrival.

"At the time of the accident the grandmother was not with the child, but at a 20 meters distance. She is at the time in shock and cannot answer any questions" officer Nicolae Bunibalta said.
