There will be 31 candidates for the election from May 20. According to the Central Election Commission, the majority of the candidates are from Chisinau and Balti.

The Constituency Council from Chisinau registered 12 candidates at the mayor's office. In Balti, eight candidates registered for the elections. Three other candidates will fight to get to the headquarters of the Jora de Mijloc City Hall, Orhei district.

At the same time, two candidates were registered in the villages of Leuseni and Nemteni in Hincesti district and in the commune of Volovita in Soroca district and Parliţa district of Ungheni.

The CEC recommends electoral contestants to conduct a fair campaign, not to use administrative resources and not to corrupt voters. The institution warns candidates not to involve foreign citizens in the campaign and the image of international institutions and organizations.
