350 million lei will be allocated in addition from State Budget of 2018 for Good Roads for Moldova Program
At the request of local public authorities this year, additional road repairs will be carried out within the program "Good roads for Moldova" worth 350 million lei. The money will be allocated from the state budget. The decision was approved today the Road Fund Board meeting, chaired by Prime-Minister Pavel Filip.
"Because of the Government's visits to the territory, we are receiving more and more requests for the construction or rehabilitation of the roads". The development of the infrastructure is directly proportional to our financial capabilities It is important to spend the money efficiently and the investments in the infrastructure are vital. We will continue the "Good Roads for Moldova" in 2019 too", said Pavel Filip.
Actually, 90% have been already carried out. The Prime Minister asked for a thorough examination of the quality of the works. According to those in the field, the checks are carried out regularly and the quality of the works corresponds to the norms.
The meeting also decided to redistribute 40 million of the unused road fund for road maintenance in the winter. It was also approved the creation of a working group that will elaborate the feasibility study for the construction of the bridge over the Dniester River in the region of Cosauti - Iampol. It is to be edited jointly by the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine from European funds.
During the meeting, it was also decided to allocate additional financial resources next year to increase safety on railway crossings and to identify solutions to exclude the difference between the number of registered cars and those undergoing Technical Review.
