460 pupils of Taraclia village study in the former carpet factory
460 pupils from Taraclia village, Causeni district study in the former carpet factory from the village. The building was built 70 years ago and hasn't been repaired ever since.
The most damages is the building where the primary school is. The walls are covered by mold and the floor is old, also, the ceiling is about to fall down.
The administration of the institution tried to maintain the building in a good condition.
"We want it to be beautiful, we repair it every year, we can't do more", said Pelaghia Traci, director of Taraclia Lyceum.
After the condition of the building has been checked, 200 children moved in the other two blocks and some of them even in the basement.
"We don't even have a rest room inside."
The district authorities have already found a solution. Thus, the next year, the pupils will move in a repaired institution.
"In August, we will move to the former professional school", said Nicolae Gorban, the President of Causeni district.
The total value of the project is 15 million lei. The money will be allocated by the Causeni District Council.
