500 pupils of elementary school participated at "Our language is a treasure" contest
Over 500 pupils from our country participated at "Our language is a treasure" republican contest for elementary school. Some presented some videos about the native language, others wrote essays and the third category performed. The best have been awarded by the Minister of Education.
Stefania Cojocaru, a third grade student of Lucian Blaga lyceum from Chisinau has won the contest. The nine year old girl conquered the jury with a video. She has earned 3.000 lei.
"My movie expresses the love for the Romanian language and it shows how important it is for us to speak it correctly. I also made an interview with Mihai Ciobanu singer and discussed with Vasile Romanciuc poet", mentioned Stefania Cojocaru.
The second place was awarded with 2.000 lei, while the third one with 1.000. Many other participants have also been awarded.
"We performed Ion Creanga's fairy tales."
This year's edition was dedicated to Vasile Romanciuc poet.
"I am proud and honored to represent this contest", declared Vasile Romanciuc.
The contest was organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research in partnership with the Romania Embassy to Chisinau.
"We want to launch a way of correctly speaking Romanian. This year, the prizes as higher than the last year", declared Andrei Chistol, state secretary at the Minister of Education.
"The winners of this year will also benefit of summer camp places. The Romania Embassy is an important partner of this contest", said Alexandru Muresan, representative of the Romania Embassy to Chisinau.
"Our language is a treasure" contest reached the third edition and it has three stages. Firstly, the schools chose their winner, who attends the second round, the district contest and the third one takes place in Chisinau.
