A 72-year-old resident of Hâjdieni village, Glodeni district, was murdered in cold blood in his own house by a drinking buddy. The elder was beaten and then strangled with an electrical cable.

The neighbors were the ones to discover the body and call for law enforcement. According to the investigation, while drinking, the two men entered in a conflict which resulted in a fight.

The 46-year-old criminal, from Cajba village, Glodeni district, was previously imprisoned. Police have opened a criminal file for murder. If found guilty, the man risks to spend the next 15 years behind bars.
