An 83-year-old citizen of the Capital has met his tragic end after being hit by a car while standing on the sidewalk's edge.

The accident took place near Ialoveni town. Officers claim that the 53-year-old driver is a man from Briceni and he was going Chişinău - Hânceşti.

The main told law enforcement that the elder was on the sidewalk and has passed away after the collision. Police officers have opened a criminal file and will establish all circumstances of this case.
