8th edition of International Festival ClassFest unfolding in Capital

Classic music, emotional discussions and a good mood was present at the 8th edition of the International Festival ClassFest. The opening ceremony took place at National Eugene Ionesco Theater from the Capital, participants having gathered from all over Europe and Asia.
The competition was opened with the spectacle APOLODOR, played by students from the Academy of Music, Theatre and Arts, directed by Gelu Naum.
According to organizers, the festival is meant to promote young talents and experience exchange.
"We wish to gather young people from various countries, artists and filmmakers, who will be the future of theaters from Europe and Asia" festival organizer Svetlana Târțău declared.
The event was also attended by Silvia Radu, independent candidate running for Chisinau mayor.
"Actors and theaters give life to the city. We need them in Chisinau, as watching a spectacle causes us to forget of our daily concerns. We have the chance to see a beautiful world we dream of" Silvia Radu mentioned.
The preview was played last evening at Satiricus Theater, by students from the Academy of Drama and Film from Passau, Germany.
"They are in the first grade, so this was their first spectacle. They never before had the chance to play in front of such a big audience" filmmaker Florin Vidamski said.
During February 30 - May 5, hundreds of young people from 13 countries will play in theaters from Chisinau. The event was organized by Academy of Music, Theater and Arts in collaboration with Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, Chisinau City Hall and theaters from the Capital
