A 39 years old man risks years of jail after raping five minors from Basarabeasca

A man from Comrat was sentenced to 15 years and 3 months imprisonment in a closed penitentiary for a series of violent sexual acts committed against five minor in Basarabeasca.
The verdict was dictated after the Prosecutor's Office of Basarabeasca district demonstrated his guilt during February-March this year of two rape attempts and three perverse actions, all committed against minors aged between 12 and 16.
According to the evidence, the defendant watched the victims on the street or playgrounds, then pushed them to places where the eyes of the world were either forbidden or attempted to rape them. Immediately after the incidents, the victims told their parents about what happened, alerting the people of the law, and the aggressor - detained.
The defendant was not employed, and previously was in conflict with the law, being convicted of similar crimes.
The sentence is entitled to appeal under the law.
