A 15-year-old, born in the Capital was detained by policemen for the theft of a Volkswagen model, worth 23,600 lei. The car was stolen on the night of September 16th from a parking lot on the main street of Cuza Voda.
Thus, as a result of the measures taken, the car was found on Grenoble Street, after which the perpetrator was also identified and detained. At the preliminary hearings, the individual acknowledged his guilt as being criminally punished for the abduction of the transport unit, a criminal offense for which the current criminal law provides for one to three years imprisonment.
The Capital Police recommends the following:
- Get the car with a sensor-based alarm system that applies to windows and hoods, which always proves its efficiency.
- Check that the windows are closed and the doors secured when leaving the car, even for a few minutes.
- Make sure you have not left the keys in contact.
- At night, park your car in specially arranged and illuminated places in the police patrol area.
- Use the steering axle, gearbox, or braking system lock system.
