The Moldovan Railways give insurances that travelling to Odessa will get more comfortable. The national transport company intends to launch a modern train on this route in the nearest future. Passengers say the initiative is a good one, especially during the unbearable summer weather.

 The train to be put on the rails will have more comfortable furniture, Wi-Fi access, air conditioning, and video surveillance. The Moldovan authorities say they are in the final stage of negotiations with the Ukrainian officials. If everything goes smoothly, the new train will depart from the platform in Chisinau until the end of August.

 At present, passengers have to spend four hours in an old train without a ventilation system in order to get their destination.

 The new train is similar to the one making the Chişinău-Iaşi route and was purchased in 2015.
