A passenger bus fell in a river in Nepal, claiming lives of 22 people and injuring 17 others
At least 22 people have died after a passenger bus plunged into Trishuli River along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section early on Friday morning, reports The Kathmandu Post.
The ill-fated bus, en route to Pokhara from Gaur, Rautahat fell some 200 meters off the road into Trishuli River at around 3 am this morning claiming the lives of 22 people including two women on the spot and injuring 17 others, informed Chitwan Police Chief SP Basanta Kunwar.
One injured succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment.
The deceased in the incident are yet to be identified and the injured are receiving medical attention at various hospitals in Chitwan.
