A Russian and an Armenian detained while trying to illegally leave Moldova

Border guards detained an Armenian and a Russian citizen as they tried to leave Moldova illegally.
The two men were found in the Prut's waters, while their personal goods, change clothes, and hygienic items were found on the shore.
The two men could not justify their presence in the border area and were taken to the Sector police office to continue the investigation.
Additional checks have revealed that they were a 29-year-old Armenian citizen and a 49-year-old citizen of the Russian Federation.
Men did not offer any explanations.
The two foreign nationals, detained for 72 hours, are being investigated for attempting to illegally cross the state border.
