ACRE Summit: Event held in Orhei brought over 100 foreign political leaders
No Moldovan party has the monopoly on colaboration with European politicians.
The statement was made by the President of the Sor Party at the summit of the Alliance of European Conservatives and Reformists. The event, which took place in Orhei, gathered over 100 political leaders, who stressed that they would help Moldova in its European path. MP Ian Zaradel was present at this event. He is the candidate with real chances to win the elections for the presidency of the EU Parliament, as EU observers tell.
MEPs said that the Republic of Moldova is making visible changes and is real to be part of the EU family.
"We know very well how complicated it is to build the necessary institutions, a parliamentary democracy, free elections, a strong economy and a free market, but Moldova has signed the Association Agreement with the European Union, which is a first step towards becoming a member state", said MEP Jan Zahradil.
"This country deserves to become part of the European Union and we want to encourage it to become more free. Lots of jobs have been created lately, but there is still a lot to do", MEP Rupert Matthews said.
The Summit held for the first time in Moldova was organized by the "Sor" Party. The leader of the group said that Moldova is developing relations with its foreign partners through this event.
"Some politicians believe they have monopolized the friendship with Europe, but the situation is a little different, there are different parties and different people in Europe, and we have managed to get an experience that we will use to develop the country," said the President of the, Ilan Sor.
The Alliance of European Conservatives and Reformists is the third most influential political group in the European Parliament with more than 70 mandates.
