Admission to high schools for academic year 2018 - 2019 will start today.

The first stage will take place between 9 - 27 July. The second round will be organized unless places are completed, held from 6 till 15 August. 

"A year ago I wanted to go to a tourism college. But, I analyzed the situation and I decided to run for a lyceum and then, I will go abroad for the university", said Valeria Munteanu, graduate from Natalia Dadiani Lyceum.

The previous year, approximately 4 700 pupils were registered in lyceums.

"The graduates of the gymnasiums should decide if they want to get a profession or want lyceum studies. The lyceums prepare students to pass the baccalaureate exams", declared Viorica Batca, the director of Constantin Negruzzi lyceum.

This year, 7000 pupils will be matriculated in the job schools, which is 500 less than the previous year.

The admission results will be released on July 26th.

Necessary documents are the secondary school certificate, medical certificate, ID card and four pictures. 

There are currently 354 high schools in the country. This year, more than 30,000 students graduated from the 9th grade.
