African swine fever in Cimişlia, Cahul and Orhei. ANSA started control measures
                          Suspicions of swine fever in Cimislia, Cahul and Orhei. The representatives of National Agency for Alimentary Safety shoot many wild boars, to make the probes. Those were sent to Madrid, to confirm the presence of the virus.
"The consequences are terrible. First of all, economical consequences, as we import and export many products. But, the foreign importers don't want to contact with the countries where the virus persist. This is why we should make the all possible to isolate the outbreaks", said George Gaberi, ANSA director.
If the African swine fever will be confirmed, all the wild boars from the country will be hunted.
"Now, it is forbidden, this is why it is hard to come with some solutions. We need a solution that touched the ability structures. The depopulation and the hunting is the measure applied in the European countries", declared Victoria Covali, spokeswoman of Moldsilva Agency.
The suspicions of the swine fever appeared on November 12, when the hunters from Cimislia shoot a 150 kilos wild boar in a forest from Zloti.
The men divided the prey and sent some meat to ANSA, to verify it, according to the legislation.
"After the hunting, the wild boar was divided. In the evening, they made the roast and after finishing, they left", said Iurie Railean, deputy President of Cimislia district.
When the suspicions appeared, the hunters were obliged to give to ANSA all the meat.
"We respected all the law's stipulations. We collected probes, made disinfection and provided the fulfilling of the sanitary rules", said Eugen Tristan, the director of the Section for Safety of the Food.
At the beginning of November, an outbreak was registered in Palanca village, Stefan Voda district. At the entrance and way out of the village there were installed sanitary filters.
According to the authorities, the infection arrived from Ukraine.
