African swine found in Tudora villlage

A new case of swine disease was registered in Tudora village, Ştefan Vodă district. According to the National Food Safety Agency, the infection was confirmed after a laboratory expertise.
Still, it is not considered a plague outbreak, as the region is near Palanca village, where 15 other pigs have passed away due to the disease.
According to representatives from ANSA, the farm animals were infected after being fed meat waste brought from Ukraine.
Other cases with swine were also registered in Soroca, Edineţ and Donduşeni districts.
Since the beginning of November customs services have seized over 150 kg of pork.
While since the ban, October 25 2016, 7 thousand 600 kg of pork were confiscated at the Moldova- Ukraine customs.
