After abduction and threatening death, a man from Cahul tried to bribe a policeman

A man from Cahul came to the attention of the NAC and anti-corruption prosecutors after trying to bribe a policeman.
The suspect would have proposed the amount of 500 euros for the man of the law to hide the offense committed by him, namely the abduction of a person, the ill-treatment and the threat of death.
The man was caught at the time of the money transfer attempt, and then he acknowledged the guilt for the act committed.
Following the conclusion of a reconciliation agreement, it was released and is now being investigated in a state of freedom.
A criminal case for active corruption has been initiated in this case, and if found guilty, he is liable to up to six years in prison or a fine of up to 200,000 lei.
The prosecution takes place under the leadership of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
