Agitation banned at precinct of polling station or entry to polling station, says CEC
Electoral agitation is admitted on election day, except for the precinct of the polling station or entry to the polling station, says Central Electoral Commission (CEC).
According to art. 52 of the Code of Contravention, the continuation of the electoral agitation or the agitation for an option or another at the referendum, either within the polling station or directly at the entrance to the polling station, shall be sanctioned by a fine from 750 to 1500 lei applied to the individual or with a fine from 1750 to 2500 lei applied to the person with a position of responsibility or the electoral competitor.
In this context, we urge electoral contestants to carry out activities aimed at calling citizens to vote in these elections, in strict compliance with the legal provisions and the rules laid down in the Conduct Code.
