The draft Agreement provides for the granting of old-age pensions, disability pensions due to ordinary illness, pensions and disability benefits due to accidents at work or due to occupational diseases.

The application for determining the benefit or export of the benefit, according to the legislation of the Republic of Moldova, which is presented to the Italian institution, is considered as presented to the competent Moldovan institution.

The provisions of the treaty shall apply to persons who are or have been insured under the laws of either or of the States Parties to the Agreement. The agreement motivates people to work in the formal sector and not to accept "black work".

Ambassador Stela Stîngaci thanked the Italian side for opening, highlighting the importance of the Agreement to Ensure the Social Rights of the Citizens of Both Countries.

The Moldovan delegation consisted of experts from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Health, Labor and Social Protection, the National Social Security House and the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Italy.
