Daily, three women from our country find out that they have breast cancer. Most frequently, the most infected are the women aged over 50. The Ministry of Health launched a campaign to check many patients.

Ioana Vovc from Soroca found out that she has breast cancer a couple of months ago. Recently, the 69 years old woman passed a surgery.

"They told me not to panic and said that everything will be okay", said Ioana Vovc, patient.

"Her condition is good. Five days ago she suffered a surgery", said Larisa Sofroni, mammalogy doctor.

The doctors recommend women to pass the medical test at least twice a year.

"The women in our country don't know about this illness. This is why they should pass the check ups more often", said Diana Prepelita, mammoalogy doctor.

The informing campaign was initiated through a flash-mob.

"In the second week, we will offer free consultation for the women in the north of the country", said Larisa Catrinici, director of the Oncology Institute.

The previous year, 339 cases have been found in Chisinau, 48 in Balti. The data shows that once in 14 minutes a woman dies because of breast cancer.
