#ALEGEPUBLIKA. Moldova made its choice. First results of 2019 parliamentary elections
Today, the Republic of Moldova chooses the future of the next four years. The political stage is waiting for people's votes. Also, a referendum takes place.
(HH:MM) By this hour, the results of the CEC for the parliamentary elections are the following ones: PDM 31,51%, PSRM: 31,44%, ACUM: 17,11%, Șor party: 10,82%
The elections threshold to pass in the Parliament is 6% for parties and social-political organizations, while for the elections alliances it is 8%.
The elections are not validates regarding a minimum amount of votes.
According to the electoral code, the candidate who wins on a certain constituency is the one who has the biggest amount of votes.
If a couple of candidates gained the same amount of votes, then the constituency elections council decides who wins after drawing lots.
The ones who wanted to be deputies competed both on national and uninominal constituencies.
In case the candidate wins on the uninominal constituency and also on party list, then he passes in the Parliament.
The protocols regarding the elections and the referendum's results will reach CEC by February 26, 48 hours after the closing of the polling stations.
Thus, the final result of the elections will be approved by March 3.
Until March 9, the magistrates of the Constitutional Court will confirm or inform the legality of the elections.
This is only going to happen if there will not be any requests to the trial. The validation of the deputies' mandates will not happen earlier than the Court will check all the requests.
What about the Republican referendum, the Constitutional Court should give the final result by March 14.
