The Republic of Moldova and the National Bank registered a progress in the past three years regarding the consolidation of the bank and financial system. This opinion belongs to George Kent, the deputy assistant of the USA State Secretary for European affairs.

Within a meeting with Ion Chicu, the minister of Finances and Octavian Armasu, the National Bank of Moldova governor, the American official said he hopes that the efforts of the Moldovan authorities in our country will continue.

The discussion focused on the cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the development possibilities regarding the trade relationship between Moldova and the USA.

In this context, Gheorghe Kent mentioned that the USA will continue to support our country.

The Republic of Moldova's delegation participates these days at the IMF session and the World Bank's Group that takes place in Washington.
