Andi Cristea: EU will offer Moldova first tranche of micro-financial assistance
The first tranche of macro-financial assistance worth 100 million euros for the European Union could be transferred to Moldova till the mayor elections from the City Hall. The declaration was made by the MEP Andi Cristea within an interview for Europa Libera.
He also added that all the ten requirements were fulfilled by our country.
"The decision will be taken by the European Commission and I think that we will have some positive news soon", said Andi Cristea, MEP.
Andi Cristea mentioned that the Chisinau authorities are not guilty that the financial assistance comes later than it is supposed to. This happens because nowadays, the EU is concentrated on the migration issue and the fight against terrorism. The MEP said that the EU will support us and urges us to be patient and continue our reforms.
The micro financial assistance program for our country provides 40 million euros will be offered as a grant and 60 million euros as a loan.
The disbursement will be evolved in three equal tranches.
